Asset Tracking Systems
More
sophisticated mobile asset management companies use the
most advanced means of tracking assets available today,
such as radio-frequency identification. RFID
automatically captures data on each individual container
and can indicate container contents without ever having
to open the container. This technology is also combined
with software applications that collect, maintain, track
and analyze the data and provide customized reporting of
the location, status, and audit and maintenance history
of each asset.
Using RFID tags, these systems allow tracking the
movement of assets-only or assets and the carrier of
assets, as they move through strategically located
checkpoints. The system offers many advanced features,
notably:
* Tracking movement of men, machines and materials
within a facility. * Verifies that the correct owner is
carrying a designated tagged asset. Generates alarms if
there is a mis-match indicating possible misuse. * Can
track upto 8 different variables in a system. * A
watched-area (read radius) of upto 150 feet. Controllers
can be connected in loop to handle tracking at multiple
locations and cover a large area throughout a facility.
* Custom solutions for bus and truck terminals, utility
fleets locations and lobbies possible by integrating
tags, readers and software modules. * Integrates with
other Software.
